Digital Beverages uses an RFID chip in the coupling of the bag that is part of the bag-in-a-box syrup container. Embedded in the chip is all the information about the product; a unique identifier, SKU number, batch number, expiration date, contents amount, brix ratio, and any other custom information. The information for all containers is stored in a secure central database and updated as the product moves through the supply chain all the way to the digital beverage dispensers. As part of the digitally controlled dispenser, RFID readers connect to the bag-in-a-box at the coupling, one for each product. That is when the magic takes place.

The reader reads the information automatically and incorporates it into the dispenser’s internal computer and operating software. Then dispenser validates that the new product is the right product and it is safe for dispensing. This eliminates counterfeiting! Every time the dispenser is used, a signal is sent across the Internet updating usage.

When a predetermined threshold is met, an automatic replenishment order is sent notifying all the participants. This eliminates the costly phone based transactions, saves money, and increases profitability.
